Grayslake man arrested, charged with DUI in fatal crash in Round Lake Park

A Grayslake man was arrested Wednesday and charged with aggravated DUI in connection with a March 25 crash on Hainesville Road that killed a 65-year-old Round Lake Beach man. Steven A. Rosellini, 27, was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon after being indicted by a Lake County grand jury earlier in the day, according to Round Lake Park Police Chief George Filenko.

Foundation launches website on food locally grown in Lake County

Liberty Prairie Foundation has launched, a new website to help people find locally grown food, highlight groups working on projects and list ways for people to get involved. Volunteers with the Liberty Prairie Foundation harvest produce that otherwise would not be harvested as part of the gleaning program to provide fresh vegetables for cooking and distribution.

A Lake County judge was right to dismiss Mundelein's lawsuit challenging the approval of a regional trucking terminal in neighboring Grayslake, an Illinois appellate panel ruled Thursday. Grayslake village board members annexed and zoned 33 acres for the $14 million, 100-dock terminal and a repair and maintenance facility in August 2014 over the objections of several Mundelein residents living near the Grayslake border.
